The Thrive Network

The Thrive Network Innovative mental Health for the whole family! The Thrive Network is dedicated to the well-being of All of us are shaped by the relationships in our lives.

That’s why relationships are at the basis of everything we do. The courage to seek support during a difficult time should be met with respect and compassion. Our focus is making YOU comfortable so you can move through whatever current struggle you’re facing. We strive for the highest quality in our approach as we help individuals and families go beyond merely surviving and move toward THRIVING! Child and Adolescent Counseling Services
Mental health is a key component in a child’s healthy development. Children need to be emotionally and psychologically healthy in order to learn, grow, and lead productive lives. The Thrive model takes into account a very important reality: Children don’t know what therapy IS because therapy is a very adult concept. Kids need therapy for KIDS! Children’s brain development, verbal skills, impulse control, coping skills and reasoning abilities are immature and not the same as those of adults. Some see these as limitations . . . when in fact, using the competencies of childhood: fantasy, imagination, playfulness, curiosity and openness to learning are the best ways to help kids succeed. By expressing themselves symbolically through toys in play therapy, children are able to distance themselves from difficult feelings and memories, which are frequently too hard for them to talk about directly with others. This gives children the opportunity to communicate their fears, worries, problems, wishes, and desires to others, even if it is done symbolically through toys. Other adults in children’s lives, such as play therapists and parents, can then get a better understanding of children’s inner worlds, which allows these adults to understand what children need in order to provide the appropriate type of help and support. Family Therapy
Our family affects who we are and who we become, both for the better and for worse. We learn our vocabulary, our habits, our customs and rituals, and how to view and observe the world around us. Anyone seeking healthier, closer family relationships can benefit from family therapy. Family therapy is necessary to address family issues and heal a family’s wounds. If any of the above scenarios resonates with your family, consider seeking family therapy. Family therapy can be beneficial on many different levels. Couples Therapy
All things can be improved, changed and bettered, with just a little support, no matter how big or small. With couples therapy, you’ll learn how to communicate your feelings and needs, and get what you want out of your relationship. In couples therapy sessions, we help you develop the necessary skills needed to maintain sustaining love.

Today marks the kickoff of National Association for the Education of Young Children’s Week of the Young Child—a joyful celebration of early learning, creativity, and the incredible ways young children grow and express themselves. At the heart of this week is a powerful reminder: play is a child’s language. Through play, children communicate their thoughts, explore their emotions, build relationships, and make sense of the world around them. When we honor and support play, we’re not just encouraging fun—we’re nurturing development, fostering connection, and giving children the tools they need to thrive.

Thank you, The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) for all that you do for young children and our programs & thank you to all the teachers who put their heart into teaching!
💜🧡💚💙

The Thrive Network is proud to participate in the American Counseling Association’s Teal Day, a meaningful initiative during Counseling Awareness Month. By wearing teal—the color representing the healing and supportive role of counseling—we stand in solidarity with mental health professionals and the individuals they serve. Together, we aim to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and highlight the importance of accessible, compassionate mental health support in our communities.

Our Story

Where Kids Thrive, Inc’s purpose is to address the lack of mental health resources, particularly for children, adolescents, and their families. Mental health is a key component in a child’s healthy development. Children need to be emotionally and psychologically healthy in order to learn, grow, and lead productive lives. Youth involved in child welfare or the juvenile justice system are exposed to a higher risk of having experienced traumatic events. Children who are exposed to traumatic events have a higher probability of developing mental health conditions.
