99 problems but professionalism ain’t ☝️. Today our PGY 1’s had their first workshop for professionalism led by our very own PD Dr. Maffei. It was a great afternoon connecting with interns of our affiliated family medicine residency programs!

And just like that, we’re already saying goodbye to summer! Here’s a glimpse into our last few months!

- Free sports physicals for children with limited access to care on our pediatric mobile van

- Our very own Dominique Cameron, PGY2 discussed her participation in the AAFP Family Medicine Advocacy Summit on Capital Hill

- Resident led journal club, a great way to learn critical appraisal skills of scientific articles

- Residents and Rowan SOM medical students doing some sideline coverage with our sports medicine attending, Dr. Mukherjee.

- Snapshots of residents prepping for office sessions, keeping each-other company during night float, and celebrating birthdays together!!

Our latest summer health screening event was a great success! We partnered with the Gloucester County department to conduct hypertension/diabetes/etc screening as well as sports physicals for the community. Dr. Mukherjee, our core faculty sports medicine doc, conducted the sports physicals alongside some of our residents and Rowan SOM students.

Virtua FM provides unique opportunities to get involved in for those interested in pursuing a sports medicine fellowship. We are looking forward to more upcoming events, including volunteering at the Philly Half Marathon and our local HS fall football games!

Virtua is now a new program with 12 residents per class! We will have 6 new residents at Virtua Primary Care Voorhees (previously known as Tatem Brown), 3 at Rowan Stratford Family Practice & 3 at Washington Township!
