Today, our nation celebrates Veterans Day. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of our Cooper team members, patients, and friends who have served our country. As you celebrate today, we wish you and your families well.
Cooper has a longstanding tradition of supporting military families. Our Military, Diplomatic, and Field Surgical Affairs Unit has established us as one of the nation's premier health systems for training military medical professionals. In addition, Cooper has special programs for the military, including HeroCare Connect, a concierge service that connects military families with the care they need.
Today, as we do each year, Cooper will recognize a team member who is nominated by their colleagues with our annual Armed Forces Person of the Year Award. This year, we are proud to announce that there will be two recipients of the award, as we incorporate a similar annual recognition by our colleagues at Cape. The recipients will be announced at special events today in Camden and Cape May Court House, and we will share those announcements publicly tomorrow.
If you're visiting Cooper University Hospital Cape Regional, a Veterans Wall of Gratitude will be displayed in the lobbies from Monday, November 11, through Monday, November 18, 2024, honoring our veteran and active military team members, volunteers, and their families.
