Message of Hope is a program under Generations Inc. is the Community Development Corporation (CDC) of Bethany Baptist Church that was founded in 1996 by Bishop David G. Evans, CEO for the purpose of addressing the needs of the community. To meet its mission, Generations, Inc. offers an array of public services to its constituents and surrounding community through its subsidiaries: Abundant Harvest Catering, Breath of Life Counseling, College Bound (supports aspiring college students); Message of Hope (Drug and Alcohol services), Generations YEM (youth mentoring), Harvest House (senior complex), Harvest Sports, I'm Free (Domestic Violence services), Nex Gen Health & Wellness, Way of Escape (Diabetes and Eating Disorders). Program Philosophy

Message of Hope believes that each individual, regardless of race, religion, economic status, or chosen life style is entitled to quality care provided with respect for the dignity and integrity of the person. Further, the program believes that it's clients are capable of personal growth and change; services are provided in a dynamic vivacious treatment focused atmosphere, thus, affirming this belief. Message of Hope supports the position that substance abuse is a disease that adversely affects the mind, body and spirit of the abuser as well as his or her loved ones. There are various stage of abuse/dependency an individual may experience. Message of Hope also believes that providing integrated treatment and services simultaneously will effectively address co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. The staff ensures that each customer is treated as an individual and addresses their substance abuse and other areas of their life that may be affected. Message of Hope believes that:

Substance abuse is a bio-psychosocial disease affecting the cognitive, spiritual, emotional, and physical being of the individual. Substance abuse is a chronic, progressive health problem that responds positively to intervention and treatment. The "No Wrong Door" policy ensures integrated, evidence based treatment of co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders. Behavioral change is possible. Every individual has the right to pursue recovery. Relapse prevention is a part of ongoing recovery. Recovering individuals are vital contributors to their families and the community.
