We had a fantastic morning presenting to the Southwood Elementary 5th graders about the dangers of ci******es, vapes, and smokeless to***co. They learned how these substances can harm the brain and body and even got to see real pig lungs to understand how smoking affects our lungs.
The students discovered that vapes aren’t harmless, smokeless to***co isn’t safe, and ni****ne can seriously impact their growing brains. It’s never too early to learn how to make smart, healthy choices.

We had a wonderful afternoon at Southwood Elementary sharing with 3 classes of bright and curious 2nd graders about the dangers of to***co products. We explored how these products can harm our bodies—especially our lungs and hearts—and why making healthy choices now sets the stage for a strong future.

These students were incredible listeners! They asked thoughtful questions, shared their ideas, and showed a real commitment to learning. Most importantly, they listened to "kNOw" about the health risks of using to***co so they can say "NO" to to***co.

It’s inspiring to see young minds take their health seriously. Let’s keep empowering our kids with knowledge and confidence to make smart choices every day!

We had a great visit with the Metro North 2nd grade students and staff to talk about the risks of using to***co products.

One of the most impactful parts of the visit was a hands-on demonstration using pig lungs—one healthy and one damaged—to show how smoking harms the body. The lungs helped the young students understand the importance of making healthy choices.

We also discussed vapes (e-ci******es), explaining in simple terms that they are not safe, especially for children. They learned that just like ci******es, vapes can hurt your lungs, affect your brain, and lead to addiction.

In addition, we touched on the high cost of to***co and va**ng products, helping students see that using these products doesn't just harm your body—it also wastes money that could be spent on healthier, more positive things.
Thank you for the photos, Ms. S.

The US Food and Drug Administration is urging ni****ne pouch manufacturers to use child-resistant packaging on their products. This comes as a rise in ni****ne pouch exposure cases has been reported among young children – with some causing ni****ne poisoning.

We had the opportunity to discuss the harmful effects of to***co use with four high school Health classes at Manchester Community Schools. From the addictive grip of ni****ne to the long-term damage to the lungs, heart, and brain—these students asked smart questions and added valuable perspectives.

We talked about how to***co companies target young people, the myths around va**ng and other to***co products, and the power of making informed choices. It’s not just about saying “no”—it’s about understanding why.

We were grateful for the chance to help spark awareness and empower the next generation to protect their health. 🚭

We had the privilege of speaking at Southwood Jr/Sr High School to a wonderful group of 7th grade Health students about the dangers of to***co.

We talked about how to***co affects the body, the sneaky ways companies market it to young people, and the long-term consequences that often start with "just one puff." 🚭 The students asked thoughtful questions and showed a real interest in making healthy choices.

It’s not just about saying “NO”—it’s "KNOW" why you choose to say "NO" to to***co products. If we can reach kids early with honest conversations and real facts, we can help them build a future free from addiction and disease.

A big thanks to Mrs. M. for inviting us—and to the students for being so awesome. MSD of Wabash County
