Welcome in the fire, confidence and freedom of this new year of the Fire Horse. The Horse is a symbol of passion, independence and rapid movement. As the energy shifts it may feel like or will feel like the universe has flung open the stable doors—urging you to gallop into your destiny and follow your path with courage and confidence.

Horse energy is most sustainable when rooted in self-awareness and by staying grounded. Move with that which feels most aligned rather than that which feels required. Shifting from Snake to Horse is a reminder that both reflection and motion have their place. It’s less about discarding reflection and more about applying it. One prepares the way for the other.

The insights you’ve gathered during the Snake’s introspection are not meant to be held internally forever. The new Horse energy is inviting you to embrace your reflection and learning and prepare for action. The pace of the energy will change, but the wisdom gained will help guide you instead of having you move with impulsivity. Take care and remember to look before you leap. Allow your momentum to build gradually and reflect on what you released or clarified over the past year. Notice where energy is organically returning. Breathe and take a grounded step before committing to big moves and opportunities. Above all, enjoy the year and when ready, act boldly and confidently embrace your dreams and ambitions.

As we move into 2026 do you still feel stuck in 2025. Have you been feeling more emotional than usual, physically tired but not sure why, more sensitive to people, noise and responsibilities. If you feel like 2025 hasn’t ended your body may be dialed into the vibrational frequency of the lunar year. This is the last week of the year of the Wood Snake and we will be moving into the year of the Fire Horse. (The year of the Smoke Snake is ending.) While some celebrated the new year on Feb 3rd other will be celebrating it on Feb 17th.
The year of the Smoke Snake was steeped in wisdom, deep intuition and mystery. Its goal was to teach us to shed our skins, to go inward and to listen to the whispers of your soul. It was not a year to rush towards resolutions but a year of inner transformation, where slow growth was happening beneath the surface. To learn survival through patience and learning how to bend without breaking, to grow roots and shed what no longer served us.

Some may have experienced this last year feeling slower or heavier in nature. Our emotional intensity may have been heightened, not necessarily because more was happening externally, but because we were being called to turn inward. This inward reflection may have felt challenging at times, especially if long-avoided truths became clearer and harder to ignore. The goal was to bring clarity, emotional honesty and transformation; allowing you to rest, let go and finish the year gently so you could move into the new lunar year, the Year of the Fire Horse. In contrast this new year beginning, is about fire and freedom. It will ask us to act on what we’ve discovered during the Snake's introspection. The Horse is a symbol of passion, independence, courage, truth and rapid movement. My hope is these words will help you move forward in the months to come.

Happy December!
This is the time of year to sparkle. To bring light to the world as we move through the darkest days of the year. When all the world wants to sleep, retreat be the Star that twinkles, that warms your soul and brings a smile to others.

Tonight, the full Cold Moon drifts through the Pleiades star cluster, also known as the “Seven Sisters.” If you look east after sunset, you can see the Moon brushing past these bright, sparkling stars. Binoculars or a telescope will make it even more magical, letting you watch the stars wink in and out as the Moon passes by. For the most dramatic view, watch just after moonrise, around 5:15 pm CST, when the Moon appears larger near the horizon—a phenomenon called the “Moon Illusion.” Tonight, the heavens invite you to pause, look up, and notice the small wonders that sparkle around you. Reflect on your year, not the hardships, but the blessings, the wonders and the things that made you smile. Bring in that energy again, plant it in your heart and take that magic to others.

I’m finding time to get out in it and hear and feel the crunch under my feet. Breath in that cold air that exhilarates as well as cools the lungs. Seeing the snowflakes and bringing out the inner child as I open my mouth and try to catch a few flakes. Take time to ignite the inner child in you and see the wonders of the season. You’ll be surprised the joy and peace it brings.
