This is one of the most common myths about Lyme disease. Ticks transmit disease through saliva by injecting salvia into the skin of what they are attached to when they are feeding. Baby ticks do not stay attached long while feeding and they are the highest risk for transmitting Lyme!!!

If you have a bite there is a potential for transmission.
