Belly issues and p**p problems are no fun, especially when they come daily
Sometimes, a simple stomach bug is the cause, but if symptoms worsen or continue for more than a few days it's time to get some answers. In the mean time, try these things to help you get some temporary relief.

Have you been in this cycle?

“My stomach hurts so I don’t eat…
If I don’t eat my stomach hurts worse.”

It’s a vicious cycle and it’s time to stop the overwhelm.

So, where do you start?

You need to start finding your team.

There are three specialists you need to be working with.

1. Registered Dietitian
2. Therapist
3. GI Doctor

Your GI doctor will help run testing and figure out what’s going on.
Your therapist will help you work through the anxiety of eating.
Your dietitian will help make sure you’re eating enough and find creative ways to meet your nutrient needs.

DM me if you need to start stacking your team of pros who can help you work through GI and ED needs!

The body is a two-way street. We speak to it and it speaks to us. Life can have shaping forces that prevent us from connecting to our body and hearing what it has to say. So, in my practice, a huge win happens when people learn to hear and interpret their own body signals regularly.
Believe it or not, your culture will designate what body signals are good or bad. Here are a few examples.
1. Being thirsty is a good thing; but being hungry, even if you've eaten recently, is bad.
2. Feeling any urge to use the restroom is considered a private affair.
3. You aren't considered sick until symptoms show externally, although many times people can feel their illness coming on days before.

Do you know of any other body signals that are squashed by society?

1. Drink more fluids before meals.
This helps prevent you from overeating

2. Take your multivitamin
Your body needs additional needs during stressful periods

3. Eat your protein

it's easy to reach for those quick carbs, but that protein will keep your muscle, keep you full and give you energy for longer!

Recipe of the Week!

Not every great chicken soup starts with hours and hours on the stove. This weeknight-friendly version gets a flavor jump-start from ginger that’s thinly sliced, fried until deep brown, and joined by garlic and scallions.

While the stock cooks you’ll have enough time to use the rest of your ginger, garlic, and scallions for the crunchy-toasty topping that makes every bowl extra special.

So check out this recipe on the provided link for more details.
