We often get the asked "How early can you see something?"

Implantation / gestational sac via ultrasound can be seen as early as 4.5 to 5 weeks.
A fetal heartbeat (or at this early gestation called embryonic cardiac activity) can be detected around 6.5 to 7 weeks. While, yes, it can be detected earlier (around 6 weeks) via vaginal ultrasound, we only offer abdominal ultrasounds.

With that being said. It really just depends on what you are trying to confirm or see during your ultrasound appointment.
If not hearing a "heartbeat" will cause more stress or anxiety to you, then, I suggest waiting until at least 7 weeks.
However, if you are just wanting to confirm pregnancy via ultrasound then we recommend you coming in around 7 weeks.
