Whose fault is it ???

One of the greatest things
to ever happen to me ,
happened in
August of 2020.

On a Thursday night while
sobbing at a level I don’t
know that I’ve ever
cried at before or since ,

I realized that every aspect
of my life was my own fault.

It wasn’t my wife’s fault.

It wasn’t my parent’s fault.

It wasn’t the weathers fault.

Or my job.

Or the street I had to drive down.

Or the town I lived in.

IT WAS MY FAULT.

And it was never going
to get better until
I got better.

No one was going
to save me.

Since that night I have taken responsibility for everything.

All aspects of my life.

You know what ???

It’s been the most freeing and liberating thing that’s ever
happened to me.

It’s opened up doors
of opportunity.

It’s given me a free pass to
take on any challenge
because I know that my success
or failure isn’t
anything or anyone’s fault
except my own.

I’m in control of my life.

It’s allowed me to hang
my hat on the fact that
I WILL figure it out.

If you haven’t yet ….

I pray that you one day
have your Thursday night
in August of 2020.

Because when we finally
decide to take accountability
and stop blaming
everything else for
our issues ….

We truly begin to live.

Do you want good credit ???

Here’s some of the best
credit advice I can give.

I’ve owned a credit repair
company since
August of 2020.

We are going on five years
strong and I’ve been able
to help over a thousand
people in that time.

It’s been a blessing to serve.

One of the biggest challenges
I’ve seen in that time is people having late payments.

It can happen to anyone.

I own a credit repair company
and I had one get by me
a couple of years ago.

It was an annual fee on
a credit card and
I didn’t realize they had
switched it from
$48 dollars a year to
$4 dollars a month. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

My credit got hit with
a late payment and over
$8 my credit took
a 40 point hit.

Luckily I’ve got an
amazing team and they
got it off for me.

Late payments
ain’t no joke.

And it can happen to anyone.

Did you know that
an 850 credit score can
drop over 100 points due
to a recent late pay ???

A recent late pay can
count against you more
than a bankruptcy
that’s four years old.

The reason is that it’s
recent and looks like to
the bureau that you may
be having money trouble.

Know this :

The bank is going to protect
their money at all cost.

They want their money
on the street ,
and they want to make interest
from us ,
but they want it to be
safe money.

That’s literally why the credit bureaus are in place.

And that’s why that
recent late pay can kill your
score and with time
derogatory marks count
against us less and less.

There’s a formula to it that’s
literally made up of a
point system.

I’ll talk more about that in
a later post.

Hope this helps someone
out there who’s trying to
understand the complexity
of the credit system.

late pays here’s
one last thing.

If you ever get in trouble and
have to be late or have
something hit your
credit ,

pay your mortgage on
time at all cost.
( make that the last thing
you let get by you )

make it fly.

Sometimes we just
don’t realize.

A couple of months ago
my dog Cash pulled up
really bad on his back leg.

I’ve had Cash since
February of 2020
and in that time there haven’t been many days where
we haven’t went for a walk
and played some form of catch.

He loves tennis balls ,
baseballs ,
you name it.

If it’s round he loves it.

It’s our thing.

But this particular day a couple of months ago he was really hurting
and could barely move.

It broke my heart to see.

I took him to the vet
and we’ve been getting
weekly shots to help him with arthritis ever since.

He’s doing much better and
we are able to play catch
most days again just
much lighter and
I watch him close.

He’s moving pretty well.

I was thinking about all
of this yesterday when
we were outside playing.

The point ???

We take small
things for granted too often.

We don’t appreciate
the simple things like a healthy dog chasing a ball or joyfully running with a stick until we don’t have it anymore.

A Diet Coke from Sonic
at happy hour.

A laugh with a good friend
over something stupid.

Eye contact with your
significant other
where you share that ever so quick connection that you
both feel that lets you know you are on the same page
and doing this thing called life together.

Maybe it’s watching
that baby learn
something new.

I won’t be taking playing ball
with Cash for granted again.

I’ll cherish every time
I get the chance.

And I’ll do my best not to take anything else for
granted either.

Would you agree with this ???

Credit is confusing.

That’s ok.

I’m going to give you something valuable that
understanding will give you the ammo to raise your score.

One of the biggest things
we do for our clients is create
a detailed plan for them
called the ,

“3B Credit Success Plan”.

This is a detailed plan that includes things like this :

When you open a credit card you get points that go toward your credit score.

It’s called ,

“Number of months since most recent opening”.

Here’s the break down ,

0-5 months -

20 points toward
raising your score.

6-11 months -

25 points toward raising your score so your score goes up twenty points for having
that card.

12-17 months -

30 points toward helping your credit score.

36 months plus -

49 points toward
helping your score.

There are a lot of complicated variables that go into
figuring out a credit score and what we need.

You also get points for :

*Number of months since last derogatory.
Which is why removing them if they are there shoots your score up.

*Number of bank cards

*Number of months in file
( how long have you had the account )

These things are huge in determining what you need to add and more importantly
WHEN you need to add it.

ver been challenged
in life ???

The hardest year of my life
was probably 2020.

I knew I was on the upswing
and doing things the
right way ,
it was just taking awhile
to get it all dialed in.

I spent six months
of that year in a small apartment with no furniture
except for a mattress
and a desk.

This was by choice.

Everyone thought I was crazy
but I was committed to growing my business.

That’s all I did during that time.

That and every evening at
7pm I went to the gym
and ran three miles on a treadmill.

Oh yeah ……

and I walked my dog Cash
and took him to the local park.

By the way there was
also a virus hanging around
that you may have heard
about that year.

2021 things started
to trend upward.

I was getting it figured out
and it was starting to
come together.

But I gotta admit …..

There were a lot of tears
and loneliness during 2020
to get to that upswing in 2021.

It was a very humiliating
time for me.

Thankfully I had some really
good people on my side
to support me
who I will always be grateful for.

And I had an incredibly
massive drive to not give up.

I share all of this
for a reason …..

to say that if you are going
through a rough time
right now,

a 2020 of your own ,

know that the sun
will come out again.

The hard times in life
eventually become
better times in life.

moments from us.

and they are what life
