Because you didn't want to lose him, you lost yourself in the process. You became a girl who kept being mistreated and you formed a habit of saying "I'm used to it". You became a girl who kept being unappreciated and you begin to tell yourself "it's okay". You became a girl who kept being undervalued and you learned how to say "I'm fine". You became a girl who kept being put last and you naturally reacted with "it's whatever". You became a girl who kept being taken for granted and you dealt with it by repeating "everything's ok". You became a girl who kept being unhappy and you regularly told people "I'm going to be fine".....And if you're reading this right now, then you need to understand that no guy is worth losing yourself for, no guy is worth suffering for at the expense of your happiness! So KILL your old self and focus on YOU! GET YOURSELF BACK❤

Restoring Hope Devotional:

When worry strikes, we usually get discouraged or even depressed. We respond to life negatively, and take our eyes off God and His promises to take care of us. The next time worry strikes, here's how you can restore your hope:
Pray - "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication...let your requests be made known to God" (Philippians 3:6)
Trust - Refuse to worry about circumstances beyond your control. Remember, they are still in God's control. (Psalms 135:6)
Give Thanks - "In everything give thanks" (1 Thessalonians 5:18). When you thank God even for the hard things in life, you are saying, "Lord, I am confident You will use this for my good."

Pray: Lord, it's so easy for me to focus on the negative. Help me redeem my worried thoughts by using them as reminders to pray, to express my trust in You, and to give thanks. Amen

Are You Ready to Make the Choice?
Hebrews 4:12-13

New International Version (NIV)
12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pe*****tes even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Just like the word of God is alive and working in our lives today, so is sin. Just like the word can pe*****te deep into our souls and our very being, so can sin. Just like God can see the good in our hearts, He also sees the sin.
The choice then becomes ours – do we want to try and live in denial about our habits and addictions – OR, do we uncover it and lay it before God. We have to decide what type of lives we want to live. Either way, the choice will have a profound affect upon us. If we choose to live for God, our actions will begin to reflect the good in our lives and all that we have to offer. If we choose to hide in shame, ultimately it will destroy us.
Either way, we are accountable for our actions and God already knows. So doesn’t it make sense to stop the make believe and give it up? The Bible, programs such as Celebrate Recovery or a traditional 12 step program, friends, family, counselors, accountability partners, sponsors – these are all tools or people to help us turn away from deadly issues in our lives. Are you ready to make that choice. He already knows all about your life.

Recovery Principle of the Day: Perseverance Perserverance

When we feel as if we are going crazy and don't think we can handle life, God is there. He is determined not to give up on us. We can rely on his persistent love.

God has promised to keep working on us until we are whole. There will still be tough times, but with his help we can handle them, one day at a time.
