SEPTEMBER IS SICKLECELL AWARENESS MONTH, YET WE ARE THE MOST ABUSED, MISTREATED, JUDGED AND OVERLOOKED GROUP OF PATIENTS IN THE MEDICAL WORLD. SICKLE CELL DISEASE IS A CURSE THAT 1/12 AFRICAN AMERICANS ARE BORN INTO, AND YALL DONT STAND UP FOR YALL OWN FKN PPL. YET COME OCTOBER YALL WANNA PAINT THE WORLD FKN PINK FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH. HOW YOU GONNA PICK AND CHOOSE WHAT TYPE OF CANCER TO SUPPORT/BRING AWARENESS TO WHEN WE ALL SEE THE SAME DRS (HEMATOLOGY/ONCOLOGY)...HOW TF YOU OVERLOOK HEMOTOLOGY THO(WHICH FALLS UNDER A debilitating hereditary chronic blood disease IE SICKLECELL DISEASE...YALL FKN SICK, CAUSE MAKE THAT MAKE SENSE...ITS NOT A COINCIDENCE THAT THE MEDICAL WORLD TARGETS THE ONE GROUP OF DISABLED PPL AND THE MAJORITY JUST SO HAPPENS TO BE BLACK PEOPLE???!!? IM SO UPSET CAUSE NOBODY STANDS UP FOR US, WHEN YALL KNOW SOMEBODY IN YA FAMILY HAVE IT YET YALL DO NOTHHING TO SUPPORT YOUR OWN FKN PPL...IM SO DISAPPOINTED AND I GOT ABUSED YET AGAIN TONIGHT WHILE AT HILCREST IN A CRISIS AND NOONE HELPED ME....WE HAVE TO TAKE ACCOUNTABILTY AS A COMMUNITY AND STAND TF UP FOR US TOO....IT WAS TAKEN TOO FAR TONIGHT AND IM DONE HIDING THE TRUTH...STEP TF UP OR S**U FOR SICKLECELL TOO WE SUFFER MORE THAN YALL KNOW FROM THE MOMENT WE ARE BORN, NO HUMAN DESERVES WHAT THEY DID TO ME!!!!

As of September 1st a new Texas Law has been passed approving the administration of Medical Ma*****na to those in all stages of cancer as well as PTSD patients, and due to SCD being a blood disordered handled by Hemotologist/Oncologist. Sickle Cell Disease may fall under that law. Only Physicians that are registed under CURT(Compassionate use Registry of Texas)can prescribed the low dose THC Cannabis perscriptions to be filled at cannabis distilleries.

Attention Warriors, those of us with immunocompromised immune systems will need a booster shot( third vaccine 1 month after the 2nd vaccine), as well as to continue to practice social distancing and mask up and we still AREN'T protected. It's incredibly frustrating to be told I need this due to my Sickle Cell Disease, especially when I've never tested positive out of all 10 test I've had since the began of the pandemic. Even with the FDAs "approval" of the Pfizer Vaccine, I don't feel any differently however you need to do what's best for you and talk to your Hem/Onc doctor about any questions regarding the Covid-19 Vaccine.
