NATIONAL CANCER PREVENTION MONTH: Ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun and tanning beds contributes to 4.6% of cancer cases. It’s the primary cause of melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer.
✔️ Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 15 or higher when you are out in the sun.
✔️ Avoid tanning beds and seek shade during peak sunlight hours to reduce your exposure to UV.
✔️ Don’t forget those sunglasses! Protecting your eyes from UV rays is just as important and can help prevent eye-related cancers and other diseases.
