From Waco to Wyoming!

Our Executive Director, Coleen, is visiting Casper, Wyoming and took the opportunity to stop by The Arc of Natrona County! Before she left, our participants handmade cards to send along with her, a sweet reminder that the Arc family stretches far and wide!

The Arc operates chapters in 577 cities across the country, and we love getting to connect with our fellow chapters! It’s a beautiful thing to see the same mission of inclusion and support at work no matter where you go.

And of course, Coleen made sure to take in some of Wyoming’s breathtaking scenery along the way! 🏔️

Sometimes life gives you lemons but today life gave us flowers! 🌷😍💕

Our friend Lydia Tate, Executive Director of KWBU and host of Good Work Waco Podcast, celebrated her son’s wedding this weekend and graciously donated us a whole garden of beautiful floral arrangements! We decided to go for a walk around the Arc and bring everyone a little brightness on a cloudy day with little bouquets.

Our friends at Friends for Life recently experienced some tough losses so our participants made some sympathy cards and brought them along with one of the larger arrangements.

Happy National Graduation Day to our very own Kendra! 👩🏼‍🎓🎉

Kendra has earned her Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from Texas Woman's University. We think Kendra Munsell, M.S. CF-SLP has a nice ring to it! 🧡

One of the pillars of The Arc is “Advocate” and Kendra helps our participants with that every day. She has brought incredible expertise to help our participants use their voices to communicate however works best for them, whether through words, AAC devices, sign language, or visual aids.

We are so proud to have her on our team. Congratulations, Kendra! 🌟

Happy National Receptionist’s Day 👨🏻‍💻☎️
We may be a little biased but we think we have the best receptionist here at the Arc and his name is Tyson!

Every morning, Tyson shows up ready to work. He greets every person who walks through our doors, ensures everyone is clocked in, and sets the tone for a great day at the Arc. ☀️

This is vocational skills training in action. By giving our participants real, meaningful roles, we’re building the confidence, responsibility, and professional skills they need to thrive in the workforce. 💼

We got a little spring cleaning done and got our steps in! 👟🗑️🌳

We used our trash pickers from to go on a little walk around the Arc and do an impromptu community cleanup!
