We appreciate your patience as we work through our new EMR implementation. Some of the processes, especially with compounded medications are already improving.

I also continued to advocate the patients come in and get their annual exams, including a pelvic period. It is rare that we find something other than vaginal atrophy, which is quite common. But sometimes we find things that are catastrophic that could have been dealt with in a much more simple fashion if we had early detection.

We appreciate everybody’s patience with us as we work through a new implementation of electronic medical record. It’s going to continue to be a pain and to be a little bit clunky, but ultimately, we will have better integrity of our prescription process, more complete notes, a fully functioning portal that allows for better bidirectional communication, etc.

This is a continued investment in our business that is solely focused on providing better care for you. It’s definitely going to suck for a while, but on the other side, the care will be even better. That is always my goal.

Osteoporosis is real and it is deadly. During the perimenopause/menopause transition, women routinely lose a tremendous amount of bone volume. And this is totally unnecessary.

At this point, I am really angry at the clinicians/charlatans who continue to “crap talk” hormones; or to take pts off of them prematurely; or push unproven hormone regimens; or try to push nothing more than vitamins and supplements rather than appropriate care.

People deserve better.

I am disappointed and astonished that I feel the need to comment on this type of thing. There’s so many people who want to practice medicine and want to make money, but they don’t want to actually go through the schooling in order to be good at this. And now we’re seeing entrepreneurs backing clinic ventures for this sole purpose of making money. Some have a heart for this but many do not.

for me, medicine is a calling I have felt since fifth grade. And my story is not unique amongst physicians. Most of us have known since we were very little that this is what we were supposed to do

Maybe you should look hard and fast in the mirror and decide that your care should come from somebody who actually went to school to be able to provide it. And quit going to the charlatans.
