Most of you know that this past weekend, we hosted our 10th annual REFIT® Convention (aka RECON.) It was the first time we had the event in Waco. For 4 days (actually more like a week) we hosted close to 400 REFIT® community members from all over the world. Some came from as far as London and Denmark…others from our own backyard.
Words can’t adequately describe what happens at RECON. Year after year we capture lightning in a bottle. We make magic. We touch joy.
It’s by far the biggest event I’ve ever created and the most complex project I’ve ever worked on. And with that level of investment — both physically and emotionally — you don’t walk away unchanged.
This year was something else.
Something extraordinary.
Something unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.
Our theme was “Homecoming” and we made sure that every attendee felt a sense of home in large and small ways. From the local businesses and sponsors, to the actual REFIT® Peo Rally on the Live Oak football field, to the 4-day hotel party at our host site (the AC Marriott), to the endless dance parties. All of it was indeed a homecoming.
To our bodies.
To each other.
To ourselves.
REFIT® is filled with the best people and the biggest hearts. There’s nothing else like it.
I’m certain of it now more than ever. ❤️
