But when we actually look closer…

They were skipping meals all day

A little late, but Happy Easter! 🤍

We’ve been off the grid the past few days—camping in a remote spot with spotty reception, lots of hiking, and plenty of fresh air. Saedee and her sisters were in absolute heaven, and honestly… so were we.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is unplug, move your body in ways that feel good, and just be present.

Life doesn’t slow down just because you’re trying to “be healthy.”

Last week, one of my clients had a family medical situation come up.
Stress was high. Time was tight. Everything felt a little chaotic.

She didn’t have to default to takeout or skip meals.

And that’s okay.

Most women who walk into my studio say the same thing:

“This feels really warm and inviting… not intimidating like a gym.”

That’s exactly what I wanted.

When I designed this space, I wasn’t trying to recreate a big gym. I wanted something different — a place where women could walk in, sit down, take a breath, and feel comfortable starting where they are.

My studio has three small training rooms, and each woman follows her own personalized program while training alongside other women who are working toward their own goals too.

It’s supportive.
It’s structured.
And it’s not overwhelming.

Right now I have 3 remaining coaching spots for women who want that kind of environment and accountability.

Twelve years ago I lost over 100 pounds.

Most diets last about 30 days.Maybe 6 weeks if someone is really determined.

Twelve years later, I’m still maintaining that weight loss.

That’s the part I’m most proud of.

Not because I’m perfect. Not because I’m always motivated.

But because over the years I built systems that keep me showing up — even on the days I don’t feel like it.

Workouts that fit my life.
Simple nutrition habits.
Accountability.

The “before and after” picture is nice.

But the real win is building a life where taking care of yourself becomes normal.

That’s the work I help women do inside my studio.

No quick fixes. Just learning how to do this for the long haul.

Week 3 starts Monday. And these women are not the same as they were on Day 1.

Over the last two weeks inside Strong 4 Life, they’ve been:

✔ Learning proper squat and hinge mechanics
✔ Building upper body strength with controlled presses and rows
✔ Improving core stability (the kind that protects your back, not just “burns”)
✔ Practicing safe, effective form with kettlebells and dumbbells
✔ Gaining confidence in movements they once avoided

We don’t just “work out.”
We build skill.
We build strength.
We build resilience.

And now in Week 3, we layer on top of what they’ve already mastered.
