The new dietary guidelines are out. I'm going to stick with the science and continue eating plant proteins in forms of legumes beans, soy which contain fiber and NO saturated fat; and of course whole grains, fruits and of course my greens.

The new 2025–2030 Dietary Guidelines for Americans include good steps but fall short where public health is most at risk. The Guidelines limit saturated fat and encourage fruits and vegetables, but they still promote meat and dairy products that are linked to heart disease and diabetes.

Our doctors say the Guidelines should clearly prioritize plant-based diets, recognize the health benefits of fortified plant foods, and recommend water as the top beverage. These changes would better reflect science and protect Americans from chronic disease.
