Functional Medicine addresses the root cause of disease processes using a systems-oriented approach and engages both patient and practitioner in a therapeutic partnership. Using the principle of food as medicine, the patient is handed personalized tools to create new pathways to healing. Practical Healing utilizes a team based approach. We are a COMMUNITY that desires to support YOU. Our team includes functional medicine practitioners, registered functional dietitians, a holistic chef, health coaches, life coaching, counseling and spiritual direction. We are located inside of Marigold Wellness Collective!

Here’s a quick hello from Sandy Cooper, CRNP & Functional Medicine Practitioner 👋✨

Sandy brings 17 years of experience as a Nationally Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, along with her background as a Nationally Certified Nurse Midwife.

Her passion for lifelong learning led her to become IFM Certified in Functional Medicine in 2020, where she found a model that allows her to truly listen, identify clinical imbalances, and partner with women in meaningful, empowering ways.

She spent 6 years at the Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine, where whole-person, collaborative care became the heart of her work.

Sandy currently sees patients in our Sewickley, PA location and joins us in Ohio a few days each month.

We’re so grateful to have her on the Practical Healing team — and we can’t wait to share more of our providers with you. 🤍
