Jane and Dannie celebrated 60 years of unwavering devotion today! They shared their secrets to a lifelong union. Jane says the secret is "Just love on each other" and Dannie says, "Find your true mate and then it's not even hard." They both love to reminisce about trips to Hawaii, so their special meal was set in a Hawaiian theme - music, food, and atmosphere. Happy Anniversary!

The Green Haven Garden Club started planting in chilly April, and now they are reaping the benefits of their work! They've enjoyed radishes and spinach to start, and they keep tending their garden for more harvests! Beautiful flowers were also planted to make their outside spaces more enjoyable. A special shout-out to Colette Rathke and Chris Privett for all your expertise, guidance, and hard work with these projects!

South Haven Stand-Up, South Haven Silliness, South Haven Comedy Club… whatever you call it, it was a great event today filled with plenty of laughs and good (and maybe not so good 😉) jokes shared by staff and residents! We topped off the event with some fun drinks and treats!

Over the last few weeks, our residents have filled South Haven with creativity, color, and joy through painting. They created charming rain boots to decorate the tables for Mother’s Day, bright garden stakes, colorful floral rocks, and dozens of beautiful flower pots for National Nursing Home Week. As a gift from our residents to the staff, a “Succulent Bar" was set up where each team member could choose one of these hand-painted pots and a succulent to take home. Watching the smiles and excitement as they picked their favorite masterpiece was a beautiful reminder that the joy our residents create truly touches all our hearts.

We’re celebrating National Nursing Home Week with this year’s theme, “Moments in Bloom!” Yesterday’s featured event was our “Great Garden Getup,” where staff showed off their wildest and wackiest garden-inspired outfits while residents served as the official judges. There were plenty of laughs, creativity, and blooming good fun for everyone involved!
