This Social Work Month, we’re proud to celebrate Vallene, our Admissions Coordinator at South Haven. She was drawn to long‑term care by the chance to work in a supportive, rewarding environment that feels like family — and she brings that same warmth and reassurance to every resident and family she meets.
In her role, Vallene helps create a smooth, confident transition into South Haven. Building trust is at the heart of her work, and she’s passionate about ensuring families know their loved ones will receive exceptional care. Moments of gratitude from residents and families reaffirm the meaningful impact she makes each day.
What she finds most fulfilling is knowing that families can place their confidence in our team, even during challenging transitions. She sees our mission of Dignity in Life reflected in the respect, care, and teamwork shown by our team throughout the building — qualities she deeply values. And she wishes more people knew that skilled nursing can truly feel like home, especially in communities like South Haven where compassion is the foundation.
