Our residents and team came together to create this special banner for the Saunders County parade — each print a symbol of our South Haven family, celebrating those who were there and carrying the spirit of those who couldn’t join us.

South Haven had a wonderful time at the Saunders County Parade! Three full buses of residents joined us to celebrate and wave to the crowd, as our team handed out ducks to the kids. 🦆☀️💜

We’re so grateful to our sister facilities, Sumner Place and Brookestone of Papillion for letting us borrow their buses and helping make it all possible. It was a beautiful day, and we’re so thankful to be a part of the Saunders County community!

Congratulations to this quarter's Dignity in Action Award winner, Helen! This quarterly recognition celebrates team members who truly make a difference in the lives of our residents, families, and team. Team members are nominated by other team members, supervisors, residents, or family members.

Helen was nominated for her outstanding "Yes, I Can" attitude. She is a kind, patient, and compassionate team member who consistently upholds the dignity and quality of life for our residents. Helen serves as an inspiring example to us all by truly living out our Mission, Vision, and Values. South Haven has been incredibly blessed to have Helen as part of our team for the past 25 years.

Today we celebrated the retirement of one of our incredible CNAs, Kim. For five years, Kim has shown us what true serving looks like. Her compassionate care for our residents, paired with the consistency and mentorship she’s provided to our team, has been a true gift.

As we gathered to honor her, we were reminded of a phrase that lives within one of our core values—serving—that we are committed to being “family serving family”. Kim has embodied that spirit from day one, making South Haven not just a workplace, but a home.
