Congratulations to our Employee of the Quarter, Carol Lee! One of Carol's nominations had this to say about her:

"Carol originally joined our team as a retired PRN nurse, intending to fill in occasionally and offer support as needed. Instead, she has become an essential cornerstone of our nursing team.

Over the past year, Carol has repeatedly stepped into what has essentially become a full time role—covering maternity leaves, filling gaps during periods of understaffing, and ensuring our patients continue to receive timely, compassionate, and high quality care. She consistently volunteers to adjust her schedule, pick up additional shifts, and support both the nursing team and providers without hesitation.

Carol brings a wealth of knowledge, professionalism, and kindness to every interaction. She mentors newer staff, maintains exceptional clinical standards, and embodies the teamwork and dedication that make our department stronger. Her reliability and willingness to go above and beyond have had a direct and meaningful impact on staff morale and clinic operations.

Despite originally planning for a limited PRN role, Carol has shown unwavering commitment and flexibility—traits that make her not only deserving of recognition, but truly indispensable to our team. Her contributions this year reflect the highest standards of nursing excellence, compassion, and service.

✔ Be affiliated with a participating Sanford network community (employee, family member, patient, or local resident)
✔ Be pursuing a career in healthcare
✔ Have a 3.0+ GPA on a 4.0 scale

Award:
💙 $2,000 scholarship
💙 Eligible each year (up to $4,000 lifetime)
