“Healthy” marketing fooled me for years… and I can’t be the only one.
I used to buy the products on the left side of this video thinking I was making the best investment for my and my family’s body/mind.
Then, I learned more about ingredient quality, sourcing, processing, toxins, inflammation, and how certain foods personally affected our gut → skin → intensity of future allergic reactions.
This isn’t about fear.
And this is definitely not me saying we need to eat “perfectly” –
It IS however about awareness and making better choices whenever we can.
For me, after dealing with chronic health issues, PCOS/infertility diagnosis, my kids’ eczema flare up’s, painful acne, and massive medical bills (now, all this is in the past, praise the Lord) I started realizing that “cheap” food becomes an incredibly expensive & unpleasant experience later.
So instead of losing myself over perfection, I focus on upgrading / swapping where it matters most whenever I can
(I take advantage of the big sales - now or November)
→ cleaner fats/glass jars
→ fewer inflammatory ingredients
→ less processed additives (gut disruptors)
→ better sourcing/true transparency
→ products I genuinely feel good after eating / serving my family
