Come step ‘off the grid’ and onto the land of our Orchard Oasis. Immerse yourself in the nature of the North Shore and start your day with organically grown fresh fruit, eggs from our chickens, coffee, and yoga on the deck! Our site is located within a private gated community situated at the base of Mt. Ka’ala, Oahu’s tallest mountain. The historic town of Haleiwa is five minutes away and offers a
variety of shops and restaurants. Numerous snorkeling, swimming, and surfing beaches are also nearby and easily accessible. There are two 10’x12’ structures, known as a Tentalos, relocated from Molokai and rebuilt to best suit the property. They are fully waterproof, mold proof, and UV proof with a locking front door and windows that zip up for privacy or down for ventilation. There are also two additional unique and organically built structures available on the property for guests. The orchards, kitchen, fire pit, and yoga deck are available for all guests. Each unit has its own private bathroom and shower and privacy is maintained by the lush landscaping. We are off the grid but offer all of the common comforts of home including:
- Electricity generated from solar photovoltaic panels
- Water drawn from a private artesian well and heated with solar panels
- Private bathrooms with compostable toilets flushed with running water
- Private outdoor showers with solar hot water
- Comfortable beds with clean sheets, pillows, blankets, and towels
- Overhead lights and electrical outlets to charge phones, computers, etc.
- Access to an outdoor kitchen with dishes, utensils, and refrigerator space
- WiFi
There are two large organic tropical fruit orchards with avocados, mangoes, papayas, bananas, lychee, guava, lilikoi (passion fruit), star fruit, figs, pomegranate, oranges, tangerines, and more. When in season, these are all available to be picked and enjoyed by guests. Wake up to the sounds of birds and join them in the orchard in search of ripe fruit or fresh flowers. Then in the outdoor kitchen, blend a fresh smoothie or make an omelet with the eggs you find in the coop. In the afternoons you can purchase fresh vegetables from the certified organic vegetable farm a few hundred yards away. A bon fire pit and Chilean style mud oven are in the orchard and available for guests to use as well. We also offer surf lessons, surfboard rentals, handmade local jewelry, and tasty treats to our guests. If interested, just ask!
