This holiday season, Hospice Maui is deeply honored to be one of the nonprofit recipients of the Light the World Giving Machine — a red vending machine with a heart. ❤️

Instead of dispensing snacks or toys, these Giving Machines let you give gifts that truly matter — items that bring comfort, peace, and care to those in need here on Maui and around the world.

Here are some of the ways your generosity can make a difference for our patients and families:

💊 Pill Organizer – Help a patient in need stay on track with medications and maintain independence.
🌿 Holistic Pain Relief – Offer full-body comfort and relaxation for patients seeking peace beyond medication.
🌸 Aromatherapy Supplies – Provide calming scents to ease pain, anxiety, and restlessness.
🍲 Caregiver Dinner – Support family members caring for a loved one with a warm, nutritious meal.
🧵 Fidget Blanket – Bring comfort and spark meaningful memories for patients living with dementia.

Each small act of giving helps us care for our community with compassion, dignity, and aloha. 💛

Coping with Grief During the Holidays
The holidays can be especially hard when we’re living with loss. Losing a loved one—whether a spouse, family member, friend, or even a beloved pet—or experiencing other major losses can feel overwhelming.

Join Hospice Maui’s HEAL (Helping Ease A Loss) team for a supportive gathering to share stories, reflect on your feelings, and explore ways to cope and find comfort this season.

Many know Hauoli as our singing chaplain — a gifted musician who shares his love of music, especially the ukulele, bringing comfort and joy to those he serves. His compassion, spirit, and song truly uplift our patients, caregivers, and community on Moloka’i and Maui!.
