💜 Mahalo to Bank of Hawaii for supporting our keiki and families! 💜

We are deeply grateful to Bank of Hawaiʻi Foundation for their generous $10,000 grant in support of Hospice Maui’s Keiki Program. This funding helps us provide compassionate, family-centered palliative care to children facing serious illness, ensuring comfort, dignity, and support for both keiki and their ʻohana.

We were honored to spend time with the Bank of Hawaiʻi team and celebrate this meaningful partnership. Together, we are strengthening care for Maui’s families when they need it most.

🌸 Please join us in welcoming Tram Iwamaye, RN, to our Hospice Maui team! 🌸

Tram brings over a decade of professional nursing experience, with a strong background in pre-operative, intra-operative, PACU, and critical care settings. She began her nursing career at Maryland Vein Professionals, where she developed individualized care plans and honed her patient-centered approach.

Tram earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and we are grateful she has brought her expertise and aloha to Maui.

At Hospice Maui, Tram will serve as our Admissions and Flex Nurse—supporting new patients and their families as they begin their hospice journey, while also providing flexible clinical support across our programs.

We are so excited to have her on our team. Welcome, Tram! 💜

Thank you to all the families who joined us for our Memorial Tree Lighting event last week.
Your presence truly brought light to the evening, and our staff was grateful for the chance to reconnect and remember alongside you.

The first holiday season after a loss can be especially difficult. We offer this gathering as a moment of reflection, love, and community — a space to honor those who have passed and to find strength in those who continue to walk beside us.

In recognition of Grief Awareness Week, we honor the incredible work of our Bereavement Team, including:
Barbara Helm, Bereavement Coordinator for Molokaʻi;
Sara Sparling, Bereavement Coordinator for Maui;
and all of our Grief & HEAL group facilitators and volunteers who support families with such deep compassion.

This team walks alongside individuals and ʻohana during some of the most tender and difficult moments after the loss of a loved one. Through one-on-one support, grief groups, memorial events, and quiet outreach behind the scenes, they provide comfort, stability, and healing when it is needed most.

Their dedication ensures no one in our community has to navigate grief alone.
