Temple Grandin, a world-renowned scientist and autism advocate, is autistic. As a child, she had difficulty speaking and struggled to connect with others. But over time, she developed her unique way of understanding the world, especially through visual thinking. Today, she is one of the most influential voices in animal science, designing humane livestock systems used around the world, and advocating for autism acceptance.

Her story reminds us that different ways of thinking can lead to incredible innovation and impact.

⚠️ Heads up Hawaiʻi - Kona Low is moving in, and this isn’t a quick storm. It’s expected to be a slow buildup over several days, bringing steady rain, increasing flood risk statewide, and conditions that may worsen from midweek into Friday. This type of system isn’t about one big hit, but the impact that builds over time, so it’s important to prepare early. Please stay alert, follow official updates, and check in on your loved ones, especially those who may need extra support. We’ve been through this before, and we’ll get through this one too.
