It’s The Most Wonderful Time of The Year!

The other day we had some beautiful Christmas Piano Music by Eli (a Northwood High School Student). He did a wonderful job and all of our residents and staff greatly appreciated it! 🎶

Help us spread holiday cheer this season! Our Angel Tree is now up! Stop by The Garage Coffee Shop for a delicious coffee and Adopt- A-Resident for Christmas and help brighten their holiday with a thoughtful gift! ☕️🎁

🎄✨ It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at The Waters of Wakarusa! ✨🎄

Today we decorated our Big Tree in the lobby, and our residents helped fluff the branches — their teamwork made the job so much easier, and they loved watching the decorations go up while listening to festive music. 🎶🎁

A big shoutout to Julissa from our Dietary team for beautifully decorating the Dining Room tree — it looks amazing!

We were also treated to a special morning performance by Marisa, granddaughter of resident Pat, who played the harp during breakfast. The live music made the morning feel extra magical. 🎼

🎄 ’Tis the Season at The Waters of Wakarusa! 🎄

We were lucky to welcome the sweetest volunteers who helped us kick off Christmas decorating! Alisa Bender and her girls filled our halls with holiday cheer, beautifully decorating six trees in no time. Our residents loved watching the magic come to life — and everything turned out absolutely stunning! ✨

We always love when Clara and Patti from Potawatomi Zoo ‘s Educational Program “Zoo To You” come to visit us with animals!

Recently, they brought Katie The Parrot. She eats seeds, nuts and fruit and she can say “Hi”. They brought Stanley The Bearded Dragon. He eats crickets, worms and lettuce. They also brought Ema The Armadillo and she loves eating bugs. The residents always enjoy learning about the animals. Thank you Clara and Patt!

We always enjoy a Saturday country van ride to the Hilltop Restaurant in Middlebury.

Ms. Arlene especially enjoyed and went on & on about her big, juicy hamburger, and how good it was! 🍔🍽️
