I never in a million years thought I would have to write this. My husband, Michael McMillan—my dearest friend of 40 years—passed away suddenly on Saturday. He was 67. The cause of death was sudden arrhythmic death syndrome (SADS), an unexpected loss due to a fatal heart rhythm disorder, often linked to inherited electrical abnormalities of the heart.

I can’t believe my Gentle Giant is gone😔

I am clinging to Jesus, because without Him I would be a total puddle. This is heartbreaking on so many levels. I just retired, and we were so looking forward to many adventures together. Our sweet Kayla is getting married in December, and my heart aches that he won’t be there in the way we all imagined.
Kayla and I, along with our family and dear friends, are devastated. Please keep us in your prayers as we try to navigate this new chapter of our lives.

20 years ago on 1/6/2006, I started LSM INSURANCE ASSOCIATES. I am grateful that my Board of Directors consists of two members. My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who has protected me from making wrong turns and my biggest cheerleader,my husband Mike. I have worked with people that have lost their job, and some that are also in the midst of a dealing with a life threatening illness. Young people adulting for the first time, People going through the trama of loosing insurance due to the death of their spouse, Individuals confused with everything healthcare, retirees and individuals moving into the area. I have always tried to be honest, kind and in some cases funny. To me the last 20 years serving the residents of NC has been a labor of love. Thank you to everyone I have crossed paths with, to all my clients, past and present, my referral partners, and to my dear family and friends for their support. I am glad that I have brought Clarity to Confusion to many, many people and been a guiding light to each person navigating this complicated process.
