The next day, on Dec. 16th, they were summoned immediately to the UNC Hospital for check-in to the ER. On the following day, Dec. 17th, a bone marrow biopsy confirmed that Nolan's body was battling the most aggressive and lethal form of blood cancer (leukemia): Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).
