Hillside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center As our reputation and community trust grew, we later expanded the home from eighty to one hundred and fifty beds.

In 1992, a local family with several decades of experience in the field of long term care, constructed Hillside Nursing Center to provide quality and compassionate care for patients needing skilled nursing supervision. Today, our name is well known among area health care providers for the conscientious and personal attention we strive to provide daily for our residents. Here at Hillside we believe our success results from a dedicated relationship between our management, specially trained staff, residents, families, physicians, referring hospitals and healthcare professionals all working together to provide excellent service. Hillside offers four distinct areas of services:

Extended stay skilled nursing care
Care requiring a nurse to oversee and monitor care provided. Short-term/Post Acute Rehabilitative Services
Helps individuals regain their independence by providing physical and/or occupational therapy and/or speech therapy so that they may return to their prior living arrangements. Assisted Living
For individuals who need some assistance or oversight, but are relatively independent. Out Patient Rehabilitation Services
Designed for individuals that reside at home but come to our facility for scheduled therapy sessions.

The residents were treated by a visit from the Wake Forest Stem Magnet Elementary school 5th grade art class. They took turns reading to them. They really enjoyed it and we had several residents compliment them for coming. We love seeing the smiles on their faces. ❤️

Congratulations to our February Employee of the Month, Crystal Edwards!
Crystal has been with Hillside 4 years and during that time, she has been a part of our Admin team and also a Charge Nurse. Her co-workers admire her dedication to our residents. She always helps when needed and always has a smile on her face. She definitely takes charge of her unit. Crystal states that she enjoys bedside nursing and having a team that has the same care and compassion that she has for the residents. Crystal is married and has 4 beautiful daughters and a granddaughter. During her off time, she enjoys spending time with her family as well as traveling to new places and catching up on her reading. She loves being outside with nature and animals. And did we mention her love of fishing?! 🎣

Congratulations to our January Employee of the Month, Shannon Hresko.
Shannon has been a Physical Therapist here with us for almost 3 years. She started her 25 year career in Outpatient and Pediatrics through Florida and Georgie before landing here in NC. During her time off, she enjoys reading, loves going places with her kids and trying new restaurants.
Shannon said, "I can confidently say Hillside is one of the best facilities I have had the privilege of working for. The collaboration between all the different departments and willingness to help have helped to make Hillside shine". She further stated, "We have without doubt the hardest working and best CNAs in the triangle".
As for her fellow co-workers, they can agree that she goes the extra mile for her residents. She's always pleasant and smiling. We are so proud to announce her as our Employee of the Month for January.
