I've had a passion for working with children diagnosed with CAS ever since my final internship of grad school. I had a particular client who was young, unintelligible, and shy. She didn't quite fit the mold of what I learned in grad school about "articulation" and "phonological" disorders, and that's when I learned about Childhood Apraxia of Speech...and as they say, the rest is history! We spent 7 years working together, and I think she may have taught me more than I taught her! Because of this special bond, I have felt inspired to continually learn about CAS and work to increase my expertise in this area.
I am currently listed as an approved provider with the Apraxia Kids directory, and dream to one day attend their boot camp!
