I am always taken aback with how red lights/near infrared help….thank you Mary C. For sharing your outstanding results, “ I have suffered with chronic pain for most of my adult life, and have tried several different methods for some relief. I don't share or open up easily, nor does trust come often. I suffer from a lot of physical injuries sustained in my military service, along with PTSD.
Red light therapy was brought to my attention as a possible means of pain management, as I am one who does not like to medicate for relief. I had done a lot of research, and kept being drawn back to your office. It is a farther drive past other offices that offer the same type of service, but I am one who goes on my instinct. I am glad to say my instinct was on target. You and your staff have never referred to me as a patient, rather quite the opposite. I can't even call it good bedside manner, because I enter a building that feels more like family, friends- A safe space. That is not easily found for me.
As far as the therapy itself, I was in a lot of pain for two months prior to starting, and had to rely on strong pain medication and muscle relaxers just to tolerate walking, and I have a very high tolerance for pain. I read the benefits of losing inches, weight, etc. I have lost inches, but that is not my focus of the outcome. Since I have started, and have completed twelve sessions as of now, I have only taken medication on two, maybe three times. That may not sound like much, but it has more than made the pain tolerable. As a direct effect of less pain is less stress and anxiety. It has already exceeded my hope of pain management. I chose the word hope, because honestly I didn't walk in expecting relief. That is a greatly added benefit.
Not only do I have a lot less pain, Dr. Mary Taylor has gone out of her way to show her genuine care and concern to me, as well as her staff. She has made a point to acknowledge me EVERY time I walk through that door, and before I leave, as well as the two Angels she has working for her. I am blessed beyond measure. I cannot think of one time I have ever been called a patient.
