I just participated in this research study, and they asked if I would share this within my circles so they can get more folks to take the survey. The survey is about touch and feeling safe in yoga. It is for yoga students, yoga teachers, and yoga therapists:
Here's the details from Sofie Scaletta:
My name is Sofie Scaletta, and I am a Counseling Psychology doctoral student at the University at Buffalo. I am conducting research alongside my faculty adviser, Dr. Catherine Cook-Cottone, to understand the relationship between hands-on assists in yoga classes and psychological safety, self-care, and trauma symptoms. We are seeking adult yoga students, yoga teachers, and yoga therapists to share their experiences through a 15-minute survey and would be so grateful if you could participate. This study is the first of its kind, and the more perspectives that contribute, the clearer the path forward to informing the provision of safe, trauma-informed hands-on assists in yoga settings.

We also ask that you consider distributing this link to your own yoga community to expand the reach of this research (for studios, perhaps in your regular emails to members, or for practitioners, in your personal social media posts). Please contact us with any questions at smscalet@buffalo.edu. Thank you so much for your willingness to support our work!
