Because communication isn’t the problem, it’s the symptom.

The real issue is usually something older. Quieter. A lot harder to say out loud. A fear of being too much, a pattern borrowed from childhood, or a need that’s never once been directly asked for.

So instead we over explain. We debate. We get really good at arguing our case and then wonder why nothing actually shifts.

You can’t out-communicate a wound that hasn’t been named yet.

The couples who break the cycle aren’t the ones who learn to fight cleaner. They’re the ones who finally get honest about what they’re actually fighting for.
