Bobby Glenn Perry, 87, of Zebulon, passed away on Saturday, January 24th, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on November 12th, 1938, in Franklin County to the late Robert Glenn and Vernie Pearce Perry.
Bobby Glenn was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Carolyn Pearce Perry and his brothers, Connie Mack Perry of Zebulon and Charles Terry Perry of Raleigh.
A devoted husband, father, and brother, Bobby spent over fifty years working as a barber, beginning his career in Bunn before moving to Wake Forest. He cherished his profession and built close friendships with many of his customers. Serving multiple generations, he took great pride in seeing families return to his chair time and again. Shorty’s hot dogs was always his lunch of choice.
Bobby's favorite pastime was raising, riding, and caring for horses; animals played an important role in his life, and he made sure to care for every one that came onto his property. Beneath a rough exterior, he possessed a truly generous and kind heart.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Linda Carol of Zebulon, as well as many dear nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 29th, at Pearce Baptist Church, followed by interment in the church cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 12:45pm to 1:45 PM in the church sanctuary.
Flowers are welcome, or donations may be made in Bobby Glenn’s honor to Amedisys Hospice Care of Franklinton, N.C., or Pearce Baptist Church of Zebulon.
A service by Bright Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Wake Forest.
