I am a certified yoga instructor (500 RYT) specializing in functional yoga for all...novices to intermediate. Private, group or team yoga sessions available.

I provide affordable yoga instruction to literally help you move through life. Yoga is a valuable tool to help enhance athletic performance and to just make you a better person. Whether you are a weekend warrior, a professional athlete, yoga is a critical component to a well-rounded training plan. You don't consider yourself an athlete? It doesn't matter, yoga can help you, too! Allow Kirsten to help you reach your peak through yoga! She has 28 years of group fitness teaching experience and has been teaching yoga for 13 years. She is certified to teach yoga and Pilates (and a variety of other classes!) and she recently completed a 5-day intensive course on teaching yoga to athletes.

Take a 180 from hot yoga and join me for COOL yoga on the lovely green space at Birdie’s in downtown Raleigh tomorrow (Tuesday), 11/18. The weather will be perfect! (Please wear layers because the sun will be setting as we move through class!)

Class starts at 4:30 pm. The cost is $10 per person payable via Venmo, Cash app, PayPal, or cash.

WAIT…there’s MORE! Class participants receive a free appetizer or shareable at Birdie’s Barroom and Kitchen!! (Dine in only.)

*Please dress for the weather and bring your own mat and props.

In the NC mountains last week, we hiked some technical trails and some easy trails…but all were beautiful! Grateful for the time away and grateful to be home.

Last week our granddaughter’s visit gave us reason to play (and not work all the time!) and we had a blast!! We found 3 of the 5 Thomas Dambo ( ) trolls in Dix Park. More playtime is on the schedule to find the other two trolls soon…

They call themselves the Dukes of Funnytown but I’d say they are the Kings of Comedy! We laughed until we cried at the Steve Martin & Martin Short show this last weekend. Incredible, talented artists!

Last month, I was surrounded by tweens and teens (and few people my age…Diane…) as we watched Benson Boone run, flip, AND SING. It was incredible! I think he must practice yoga on the side… 😊

These amazing ladies have been a part of my life since elementary/middle school in northern MN. We lift each other up, we support each other, and lakeside last weekend…we practiced yoga together! ❤️❤️ I am beyond grateful for their continued friendship! 🥰

My Story

There are 2 ways to approach yoga...either living to do yoga or doing yoga to live. I practice yoga to live my best life. Yoga is so valuable in all facets of life. It can help with stress relief, relieve chronic pain, make you stronger, gain a sense of inner calm...and the list goes on and on. I have 31 years of group fitness teaching experience and have been teaching yoga for 16 years. I have three yoga certifications, including Yoga for Athletes, and am a registered yoga teacher (200 RYT) through Yoga Alliance. I am certified to teach Pilates and currently teach a variety of classes including cycle and boot camp. My personal exercise regimen includes running, cycling, swimming, weight lifting, and, of course, yoga!
