Sherlock is a local therapy dog who brings calmness, comfort & connection to the quiet moments of lifeโ€ฆ & of course he brings lots of cuddles too๐Ÿ˜Š Baxter Palliative Care has been lucky enough to have Sherlock join us in the office for outreach programs & he has also visited patients in the home!

Pet therapy is a beautiful reminder that care goes beyond medicine - it is important because it provides emotional, psychological & even physical benefits to people across all stages of life.

Baxter Palliative Care is proud to partner with the URI School of Pharmacy๐Ÿฉบ๐Ÿฅผ Having pharmacy students in the home-care setting creates wonderful opportunities for medication reconciliation and education which focuses on the needs of the patient. This partnership strengthens the interdisciplinary approach that Baxter Palliative Care provides. Patients and caregivers have warmly welcomed our students and expressed appreciation of their time and knowledge!
