A lovely visit to see the trolls! 🌿✨
We are so lucky to live near these beautiful works of art — each one created by Danish recycled-artist Thomas Dambo and tucked away in different parks throughout Rhode Island. This past week, we visited Erick Rock and Greta Granite in Charlestown, and Iver Mudslinger in North Kingstown. Such a magical way to explore art, nature, and imagination all at once!

What a spellbinding evening we had! 🔮✨
A huge THANK YOU to all the incredible witches and broom ladies who joined us for Season of the Witch. This ladies night was nothing short of magical! From the glowing Witches Brew Cocktails 🍹 to the captivating Potion Centerpieces 🧪, every moment was filled with enchantment.
We were absolutely thrilled to see everyone’s creativity come to life with the Spell Book Pages 📖 – your personal spells and potions were truly magical! And that Witch’s Brew Dessert Trifle 🍰, topped with the adorable Hershey Kiss Witches Hats 🎩, was the perfect sweet ending to a bewitching night.
It was a night of laughter, magic, and memories that we’ll all cherish. Thank you for casting your spell on us and making it an unforgettable evening. 🖤✨

Entertainment at Brightview is always a treat, and our most recent performance was extra special. Not only did our talented performer bring extra joy, but they were also surprised with a guest player—one of our very own residents! The energy was contagious as they collaborated on a few songs, and the crowd couldn’t get enough. To wrap up the afternoon, we hosted a festive fall-themed social, complete with delicious pumpkin cheesecake— the perfect seasonal touch to a memorable day!

A Fabulous Day at Mystic Village!
We had an absolutely wonderful day at Mystic Village, filled with laughter, smiles, and great company. Our residents were thrilled to connect with friends from Brightview Shelton, our sister community located in Connecticut, for a fun-filled day of exploration and bonding.
Mystic Village's unique shops provided the perfect backdrop for an exciting morning of shopping, where everyone enjoyed discovering new treasures and chatting with friends old and new.
To top it all off, we gathered for a delicious lunch at the Steak Loft, where great food and even better conversation made for a perfect ending to the day. It was truly a heartwarming experience, full of connection, joy, and memories that will last a lifetime.
Day trips like these are such a wonderful way to enrich our residents' lives, offering new experiences, strengthening friendships, and creating moments of happiness that they can cherish.

Meet Claire, a vibrant Independent Living resident at Brightview Sayville. For her, life here feels “nice and easy,” and most importantly, never lonely. Since moving in, Claire has embraced new hobbies, built new friendships and created memories she treasures. These days, you’ll often find her laughing and playing alongside friends in the game room, enjoying the community she now calls home and the friends she now calls family.

We had a fabulous night dancing and singing to the unforgettable hits of the '50s at our Sock Hop! Smiles lit up every face as residents enjoyed the music, the moves, and the joyful atmosphere. The spirit of the decade was alive and well—with poodle skirts twirling and jukebox classics playing!! It was truly an evening to remember—full of laughter, great tunes, and timeless memories that took us right back to those happy days!

We recently celebrated Talk Like a Pirate Day in true swashbuckling style with a lively Pirate Luncheon! Residents embraced the spirit of the day-
No Pirate Luncheon would be complete without a hearty helping of this creamy, dreamy seafood casserole, brimming with tender shrimp and scallops, all baked under a golden buttery cracker topping. Savory, comforting, and rich enough to make any landlubber raise a toast to the chef! It was the star of the galley table, and not a crumb was left after the crew came through!
A crispy, buttery cracker crust on top — like gold doubloons of flavor! It's moments like these that remind us: no matter your age, it's always important to have fun, stay playful, and treasure the joy of community.

We recently hosted a heartfelt butterfly release in our center courtyard to honor everyone affected by Alzheimer’s disease—both those currently living with it and those we have lost. Participants had the opportunity to purchase a butterfly in honor or memory of a loved one, with all proceeds benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association. As the butterflies were gently released into the air, the courtyard was filled with a powerful sense of peace, remembrance, and togetherness. It was a moving and meaningful experience, symbolizing hope, love, and the lasting bond we share with those touched by Alzheimer’s. We are sincerely grateful to all who took part and helped make this event so special.

We've been so fortunate to enjoy such beautiful weather this September, and it’s made our outings along the Narragansett seawall even more memorable. Living in close proximity to the beach is a true gift—it allows us to take a short drive so we can immerse ourselves in the fresh ocean air, warm sunshine, and peaceful views of the water. The gentle September breeze, with just a hint of coolness, makes each walk feel invigorating, while the crisp, clear days highlight the natural beauty all around us. These walks aren’t just a great way to stay active; they also give us the chance to connect with friends and savor each other’s company. It’s moments like these that make early fall feel especially refreshing and deeply fulfilling.

We were pleased to host SKPD Detective Joseph L. DeCurtis Jr. for an insightful and engaging seminar on fraud prevention. His presentation offered residents and families valuable information on how to recognize common scams and protect ourselves from fraud. The practical tips and real-world examples he shared were especially appreciated by all in attendance. A big thank you to Detective Joseph L. DeCurtis Jr. and the South Kingstown Police Department for taking the time to educate and empower our community on this important issue!

We had another unforgettable Clambake this year for our residents, and it was absolutely delicious! We kicked things off with a flavorful appetizer of Rhode Island Clam Chowder paired with crispy clam cakes.
For the main course, everyone had the option to choose from three mouthwatering entrees:
🦞 A classic Lobster Roll served with golden French fries
🍗 Barbecue Chicken with sweet corn and seasoned potatoes
🦞 A full Lobster Bake featuring lobster, steamers, little necks, corn, and potatoes
The food was outstanding, the company even better, and the summer spirit was alive and well. Thanks to everyone who helped make this year’s Clambake such a success!
