What a powerful, inspiring move by tennis champion Naomi Osaka to exercise self-care and prioritize her emotional health, withdrawing from the French Open after officials bullied her instead of supporting her through an attack of anxiety and depression.
Much more than trendy spa day activities, true self-care involves treating yourself with gentleness and honoring your needs.
Not everyone has the resources to challenge the status quo of burnout culture, so I'm grateful Naomi Osaka is raising awareness and gracefully modeling healthier choices. Wishing her much love and support (and anxiety-relieving acupuncture and sound healing)!
