A Timeless Afternoon at Elderwood of Scallop Shell at Wakefield

This past Saturday, Elderwood of Scallop Shell at Wakefield proudly hosted our Classic Model A Car Show — and what a memorable day it was! Residents, families, and community members gathered to take a nostalgic trip down memory lane, surrounded by the charm of vintage cars, music, and laughter.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who volunteered their time and talents to bring this event to life. Your support created a day our residents, their families, and our community will cherish.

As CNA Week comes to an end, let us remember that recognition and appreciation shouldn’t be limited to just one week. Our Certified Nursing Assistants are a vital part of the very fabric that holds our skilled nursing facilities together.

Day in and day out, CNAs show up with strength, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to those they care for. They are the hands to hold, the voices of reassurance, and the hearts behind the care. From the early morning routines to the quiet moments of comfort late at night, their presence makes a difference in ways that words often can’t express.
Their work is not always easy — but it is always essential.
So today, and every day, we say thank you. Thank you for the empathy, the patience, and the resilience you bring to every shift. You are the backbone of our care teams, and we are better because of you.
