We're thrilled to be able to provide more of a glimpse into our music therapy services in medical settings.

Watch this video to learn more about how we partner with Brigham and Women's Hospital to provide music therapy to babies and their families in the NICU.

As with all of our services, our medical music therapy services can be customized depending on the needs of the patients in each hospital or other medical setting.

It's incredible to experience how music therapy can help regulate the body, support pain management, reduce anxiety, support connection between patients and caregivers, and more.

This fall, our music therapy team is getting settled in schools all around Greater Boston and the North Shore.

Our services within schools range from working with one child in a district who has music therapy on their IEP, to working in districts like Lawrence Public Schools, where we work in over 100 classrooms each week.

Our school services can be customized depending on the needs of the students at each school.

Come make music with us this fall!

Sprouting Melodies® is an age-specific program of music classes for infants, toddlers, siblings and preschoolers.

Through song, instrument play and movement, these classes stimulate and enhance musical, social, physical, and emotional growth and development.

Roman Music Therapy Services offers classes facilitated by our own Board-Certified Music Therapists trained in the Sprouting Melodies® program.

The weekly 45-minute classes are age-specific and occur multiple times a week.

It was great to connect with the local community - thanks to everyone who stopped by our table and participated in our Sprouting Melodies class!

We are thrilled to welcome a new music therapist, Mia, to our team!

Mia (she/her) grew up in Los Angeles and graduated from Berklee College of Music where she majored in Music Therapy with a minor in Psychology.

She completed her internship at Dynamic Lynks in Chicago, learning neuroaffirming music-based practices in all types of school and clinic settings.

She believes everyone has music within them and it is her job to create a collaborative, compassionate space to listen, explore and grow together.

Outside of work, you can find her songwriting, reading, crafting or getting outside!

Her life’s passion to make music for the sake of making music and she is so excited to join the Roman Music Therapy Services team!

Music Therapy Group Highlight: Young Adult Music Therapy Group!

The Young Adult Music Therapy group takes place every Monday evening at our center in Wakefield from 5:30-6:15pm.

This group is designed for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities who are in their late teens and 20s (ages 16-29).

We have room for one more person to join the group for the October - December session!
