Next Friday, adults are invited to join us to for the GarageBand Extravaganza!

GarageBand is an app that musicians use to create, record, and edit music!

At this event, participants will come together for a unique and musically enriching experience. Write and record an original song with multiple choices of instruments.

Programmatic Music Assistant, Andrew Connolly, will help guide you to create a song that will be recorded during the extravaganza and sent to each participant after the event!

Event Details:
📅 Date: Friday, March 20th, 2026
🕖 Time: 3:15-4:15pm
📍 Location: Roman Music Therapy Services, 333 North Ave. Wakefield, MA
🎤Who: Adults of all abilities, ages 18+ (suggested age range). This is open to the public, whether you are a current or former client, or if it will be your first time making music with us! Maximum of 10 participants.
💲Cost: $10 per participant, to pay at the door (cash or card). Please contact us if cost is a barrier.

The Roman Music Therapy Services office will be closed on Monday, February 23rd due to the snow storm. All sessions, including all individual and group sessions, Sprouting Melodies, and Young Adult Music Therapy group are cancelled. Stay safe and stay warm! ❄️

We had a blast our children's sing-along and craft event, as part of our 20th Anniversary celebration series!🎤🎨

The music studio was filled with singing, dancing, ribbon wands, laughing, and hot cocoa.☕🍬

🎉This week we are celebrating MacKenzie's two year work anniversary at Roman Music Therapy Services!

However this anniversary marks two years of MacKenzie only being an official employee... She has been with Roman Music Therapy Services longer than that - she completed her Music Therapy Internship with us too!

It has been so special to witness MacKenzie's growth. She started as an intern, and now she is our Early Childhood Program Lead, and a Program Lead for our work in Lawrence!

MacKenzie brings such a fun, light-hearted presence to sessions, filling the space with her lovely voice, and making everyone feel welcomed. 🎤🫶

We are taking a break for President's Day!

Roman Music Therapy Services will be closed on Monday, February 16th.

For us, we use this day to honor the presidents that have helped our country become a more welcoming and inclusive place.

As therapists, we recognize the work over the years that presidents have taken to pass laws such as the National Mental Health Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Architectural Barriers Act, and more.

We support continued advocacy and encourage our community to take some time today to reflect on our history and possibilities for the future!

We always have so much fun at our karaoke events and we are so excited for the next one!

Next Friday, we are hosting a Valentine's Karaoke for teens!

This karaoke event is about expression, connection, and having fun together - whether that means a power ballad, a breakup anthem, or a silly duet.

🎉This week we are celebrating Mackenzie's one year work anniversary at Roman Music Therapy Services!

Mackenzie brings such a warmth and light to all of her music therapy sessions.

She leads the Sprouting Melodies classes on Mondays, works in schools, group homes, sees individual clients, and more!

Clients always love when Mackenzie brings out her viola in her sessions - she plays so beautifully and it's such a special treat! 🎻
