My prayer~As the New Year approaches, let us see one another with "Namaste eyes", let us share kindness, no matter differing views. Our world is a rich tapestry of humans who have had very different experiences. We all look different but are all created equal. Spread kindness with a smile, speak words of love, for every human has their own struggles, and we are all just doing the best we can. May we all be kind, loving, and compassionate. Remember also to Practice Self-Compassion, as being kind to yourself makes it easier to extend that grace to others.
When Albert Einstein asked Mahatma Gandhi the meaning of “Namaste,” Gandhi replied, “Namaste means I honor the place in you where the entire Universe resides in you. I honor the place in you where Light; Love, Truth, Peace, and wisdom reside in you. When I am in this place, and you are in that place, we are One. This place is the Heart. How often do you sit in your own heart accessing these frequencies of Light, Love, Truth, Peace, and Wisdom?” 🙏♥️Prema Patti

Come Play Yoga with us this Saturday, January 18th @ 9:30a.m. at The Waldoboro Public Library. We will make Reading Come to Life with Yoga and the book A Snowy Owl Story by Maine Author Melissa Kim (of the Maine Audubon) & Maine Illustrator Jada Fitch. Children will engage in Creative Movement, Song, Art, Friendship & FUN!

Our True Self

The True Self is often described as the unchanging essence of who we are beyond our thoughts, emotions, roles, and identities. It is the core of our being that exists before conditioning, beyond the ego, and outside of the stories we tell ourselves about our lives.

In spiritual traditions, the True Self is seen as pure awareness or consciousness, free from the illusions of separation or limitation. It is the silent witness to our experiences, the stillness beneath the chaos, and the spaciousness in which life unfolds.

Discovering the True Self involves peeling away layers of false identities—our attachments to roles, possessions, and societal expectations—and reconnecting with the deeper, infinite nature of our being. This connection brings a sense of peace, authenticity, and freedom, as we no longer seek validation outside of ourselves. Instead, we align with the wisdom and wholeness that has always been within.

The True Self is not something to achieve or create; it is what we already are when we let go of what we are not.
