It may be the end of Black History Month, but Black history does not stop here.

It lives in our stories, our resilience, our culture, and in the intentional care we provide to our community every single day. As a Black woman-owned practice, representation is not a trend for us. It is foundational. We believe healing spaces should feel safe, affirming, and culturally responsive. Our commitment to advocacy, leadership, and compassionate care continues far beyond February.

Black history is still being written, and we are honored to be part of that story. Your healing matters. Always. 🤎

Real love respects. 💚

Teen dating should feel safe, supportive, and built on trust. Teen dating violence can include emotional, physical, sexual, or digital abuse, and it is not always easy to recognize. It can look like controlling texts, isolation from friends, pressure, threats, or manipulation.

Control is not love. Respect is.

If you are concerned about yourself or a teen in your life, start the conversation. Support and resources are available below in the comments! 💬

February 14-20 is Random Acts of Kindness Week, and today, February 17th, we celebrate National Random Acts of Kindness Day! What a mouthful!

Kindness doesn’t have to be big to be meaningful. Research shows that even a brief, intentional connection, like an eight-minute phone call, can help people feel more supported and less alone! 🫂

You never know what someone may be carrying, and a small moment of compassion can make a lasting impact. Let’s keep choosing kindness this week and beyond!

Practicing self-compassion is just as important as being compassionate toward your friends.

The way you speak to yourself matters; your self-talk can shape your mood, your confidence, and how you move through each day.

Today’s gentle reminder: try offering yourself the same patience, grace, and understanding you freely give to others.

As the snow settles this weekend, let it be a reminder that rest is productive, gentleness matters, and you don’t have to push through everything. ❄

Giving yourself permission to pause is part of caring for your well-being.

Stay warm this weekend and allow yourself simple comforts, such as a cup of hot chocolate, coffee, or tea, to engage your senses and support relaxation!

Hello, 2026! 🎆

Your goals do not have to be big to be meaningful. Progress can look like showing up, creating routines that support you, or giving yourself something to look forward to each season.

Small intentions and moments of anticipation can have a powerful impact on mental wellness. Growth happens one step at a time, especially when goals honor where you are right now.

As the year unfolds, remember that caring for your mental health is always worth prioritizing and never selfish. 🤝

Today, we honor International Human Rights Day by reaffirming something at the core of Arise Behavioral Health. Every person deserves dignity, safety, and the chance to thrive. Our work is grounded in the belief that mental wellness is a human right, and that supporting individuals in crisis strengthens the communities we all share.

At Arise, we meet each client with respect, relationships, and care that sees the whole person, not just their symptoms. 🤝
