Right at Home is honored to highlight Jasper, a care professional from Right at Home Overland Park, Kansas, for the compassion and thoughtfulness she brings to her work every day. When Jasper learned that her client Linda would be spending her 56th wedding anniversary without her late husband, she found a beautiful way to honor their love. Knowing that Linda still greets and speaks to her husband each day, Jasper drew a portrait of him so Linda could feel his presence more closely. She also brought her flowers, not from herself, but as a loving gesture "from her husband," just as he would have done.
Jasper’s actions reflect the heart of our mission to improve the quality of life for those we serve. She reminded us that caregiving is not just about meeting physical needs, but about recognizing the emotional depth of each person’s story. We are grateful to Jasper for her empathy, creativity, and the meaningful connection she has built with Linda.
