Some kids want to make friends, but just don’t know how.

Others avoid social play because it feels overwhelming or confusing. For some children, difficulty reading social cues gets them into trouble.

While a lot of kids develop social skills through organic play, some have challenges and need extra support to build skills, and develop social confidence and connection.

Speech Therapy-led social groups can make a big difference. With the right mix of guidance and play, children can build essential skills like turn-taking, self-regulation, reading and responding to social cues, and cooperative problem-solving—skills that carry over into the classroom, playground, and beyond.
