Today I’m beyond excited to be back at Boerner Botanical Gardens continuing to learn from an incredible practitioner about something I’m deeply passionate about — optimizing the thyroid and HPA axis.

As women, our hormones, stress response, metabolism, and energy are all closely connected. When the thyroid or HPA axis isn’t supported properly, it can impact everything from fatigue and brain fog to weight, mood, and overall well-being.

Why buy whole chickens? 🐔 ✨

Whole chickens are one of the most inexpensive ways to enjoy quality chicken while getting all the cuts in one purchase. Breasts, thighs, wings - you get it all! 🙌 Plus, they stretch so much further and can be used in so many different meals throughout the week.

One of my favorite hacks? Toss a whole chicken in the Instant Pot and in less than an hour it’s fall-apart tender and ready to shred. I always grab the biggest one I can find - more meat = more meals! 💪

That shredded chicken turns into easy dinners and lunches all week long. A few family favorites:
🥣 Chicken noodle soup
🌮 Chicken tacos
🧀 Quesadillas

And don’t forget - you can even use the bones to make homemade broth. Talk about stretching your dollar!

Funny how I researched vibration plates for months…finally get one…and I’m the last person in the house to use it 😂
Of course it starts with the husband, then the boys.

But that’s okay- because i did finally hop on, and my plan is for all of us to benefit from it ✨

Save your money and let’s start where real change happens- in the kitchen.

One of the easiest places to being? Snack swaps.
Start paying attention to what’s actually in your snacks and how often you’re reaching for them. When meals are truly nourishing, snacks should be just that- a snack, not another meal.

🍿 Popcorn is one of my kids’ favorite snacks. It goes to school with them and shows up on our moving nights, too. And when it’s homemade, you control everything that goes into it.

I start with organic popcorn, grab my large cast iron pit, and heat healthy fats.
👉 Fun fact: not all oils can tolerate high heat. Some (like olive oil) can become rancid when heated.

Our go-to combo: ghee, red palm oil, and coconut oil.
Melt them together(1/4 cup each), add the popcorn (1 cup), and let the magic begin ✨

Once it’s done popping, I drizzle melted butter (1/4 cup) over the top and finish with redmond real salt for extra flavor and nutrients.

Simple. Nourishing. Delicious.
Small swaps like this add up- and that’s where the real change starts 💛
