Erin Hardy, LCSW

Erin Hardy, LCSW Erin is a licensed clinical social worker. She received her BSW in 2002 from Carroll College. She received her MSW from Loyola University-Chicago in 2004.

She describes her treatment style as compassionate and caring. Her therapy approach is eclectic and utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. She truly loves being a psychotherapist. She states, “One of the biggest joys of being a psychotherapist is watching clients grow. Seeing clients functioning better is incredibly rewarding.”

Erin is listed on the Self-Injury Foundation website and a member of NASW.

Today is Postpartum Psychosis Awareness Day:
"Postpartum psychosis occurs after childbirth in approximately 1-2 of 1000 births, although occasionally psychosis can begin during pregnancy or after pregnancy loss.

Symptoms of postpartum psychosis most often begin within the first two weeks after birth and might include delusions, hallucinations, delirium, and paranoia. At times the person loses complete touch with reality.

Psychosis is a medical emergency that requires immediate care and thorough assessment, intervention, and treatment."
