❄️ Winter Weather Update – We’re Preparing and so should you!

🚜 Road & Sidewalk Plans
Saturday morning, our crews will work with SCDOT to salt and sand main roads and busy secondary streets. Pretreatment is already underway on Highways 28, 11, and 183.
Sidewalk salting will focus on Main Street and emergency locations.
Barricades will be placed at steep areas: S. Catherine (by the park) and W. North Broad (near WPAC). Driveway access will remain open, and the park will be open for safe enjoyment.
Stumphouse Mountain Park will close once freezing weather arrives.

👀 Ongoing Monitoring
Sunday: Crews will inspect roads and call in extra help if needed.
Monday: We’ll reassess for office hours and sanitation routes.

🚰 Water System Tips
Freezing temps can cause pipe issues — please insulate exposed pipes, know where your main shut-off valve is, and report leaks right away.

⚠️ Safety First
If roads are icy, please stay home unless travel is absolutely necessary. Your safety — and the safety of our crews — is our top priority.
