Our office is closed on these Holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. If One of these Holidays lands on a Sunday we will be closed the Monday following that holiday.

We have a party to plan! Sharon has been an all-star optician at Walkersville Eyecare since October 2003. She genuinely cares about the people she helps and has a gift (and passion) for picking out the perfect frame for people based on their style and needs. Today was Dr. Purvi Patel’s last day at Walkersville Eyecare. She has been a great part of our team for the last 5 years, and she will be missed! We wish her great joy and success in her next pursuit… pediatric optometry!

Are you excited for the solar eclipse? It's this Monday, April 8th. It will be viewable in the Frederick area from 2:04 - 4:32 PM, with a maximum eclipse of 90% at 3:20 PM. If you want to look directly at the eclipse you must wear approved solar eclipse glasses, which we have at Walkersville Eyecare. (limited supply) Not wearing proper eye protection can lead to permanent retinal damage and loss of vision. Stay safe and enjoy!
