Thanks to our Executive Chef, Brandon, and his Dietary Team for another phenomenal summer BBQ, not to mention the world's best mac and cheese ever! (And thanks to our resident Vicky for picking an epic playlist...it got everyone in the BBQ and dancing mood!

Yesterday our residents were "over the moon" during a trip to the Liberty Science Center - - and they showed us WE're never too young or too old to be amazed by our universe. Thank you to Janet, our Road Trip Ringleader (a.k.a. our Bus Driver who is the "Wheel Deal"), and Lexi, our Activity Director, for making this "stellar" trip happen!

Yesterday was a GRAND SLAM when the Wellington gang hit a Blue Claws game! Totally aWESome time! Thank you once again to our Red Bank Catholic volunteer, Cecilia, for helping out and a big shout out to our bus driver, Janet, for (wo)manning a full bus load - no any task!

HIGHLIGHT ACTIVITY OF THE WEEK:
A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful resident, Mildred, for leading what many are calling the best activity of the week! She taught sign language to the preschoolers from next door, who left VERY excited to show off their new skills. Who knows, Mildred just may have even inspired a future career or two in supporting those with hearing impairments. All WE can think of is what a beautiful example of connection across generations and abilities! (And thank you Tiny Treasures for always sharing your little gems with us; there are a lot of AL's around, but WE dare say ours is the luckiest / best because we're next door to you!!!)

PLEASE READ, IT WILL MAKE YOUR DAY: One of our family members runs a positivity site on Facebook. If you knew her, you would not be one bit surprised. She is always doing beautiful things for her mom, the high school kids she teaches, older kids she mentors, our residents, our staff, and even some of our other family members. (She must have gotten her absolute coolness from her mom who very often wears t's with positive messages written on them.) In the photo section are screen shots of her latest FB post. WE are sharing not only to recognize our Executive Chef, Brandon, but also, and most importantly, to share her beautiful life message. WE added a third pic: this family member with some of the college kids she mentors. While doing volunteer work nearby, they got stuck in the incredible storm that passed through here a few nights ago. Lucky for them, WE were close enough by to provide shelter. Kindness begets kindness! Always be kind!!

Happy 4TH from the most aWESome residents and staff there is. What a great BBQ WE had...and much thanks to all the family members who joined in! (And of course, a HUGE thanks to the dietary department for another epic holiday celebration!)

Living in New Jersey, Memorial Day Weekend marks the start of summer...the barbecues, the laughter, the time spent with loved ones. But WE can never forget it’s also a time to pause, reflect, and remember why we have the freedom to celebrate in the first place.
To every soldier who made the ultimate sacrifice - - and to the families and friends who carry their memory every single day - - Wellington Estates salutes you. WE thank you for your courage, your service, your strength to carry on, and for the gift of these moments we so often take for granted. Your legacy lives on in the smiles our residents wore at our BBQ today. THANK YOU!

There was definitely no reason to travel to Maryland this weekend for The Preakness; we had it right here in Spring Lake. Congratulations to J for The Win, Patty for The Place, and Louise for The Show! Good times always with the greatest group of residents ever!!
