At 61, Karen was already absolutely gorgeous! She came in looking to rebalance her facial features and restore definition to her neck and jawline—after reaching the point where nonsurgical treatments were no longer giving her the results she wanted. She is 5 weeks postop in the after photos and has a little more healing to go. Mild swelling will go away and her incisions will continue to fade. Elegant, balanced, and completely natural. I first me a few months after he started dating in 2021. We instantly became friends! At that time, I had already done Dolores’ facelift and necklift. When Paul told her he wanted his eyes done, she brought him over to me to help restore a more youthful look. He had nice eyes before, it’s just that they were being hidden by the excess skin. At that time I did an upper blepharoplasty and tightened his lower lids. Sometime after that, he went on an exercise and weight loss journey resulting in more excess skin under his eyes. I performed a skin only lower blepharoplasty (skin pinch) to help smooth out his lower eyelids and brighten his eyes even more! Paul and Dolores are two of the most amazing people I know….Together they are truly a power couple with hearts of gold!

A quick update on Brandee….She just sent me these photos,and I was blown away!!!

At the age of 47 , Brandee came to see me for an elegant “reset”….not to look different. She just wanted to look like she did 10-15 years ago… and maybe a little bit better. Brandee is now 12 weeks after her procedures and loves her results!!! I’m so grateful to be a part of her journey!!!

So… what’s the right age to have a facelift?

The right time to consider a facelift is when there is nothing nonsurgical or “lifestyle-change” related that will help. When I started performing facelifts in 2005, the average age for several years in my practice was 55-70. Now it’s 42-60…with some patients in their 30’s, and others in their 70’s. The average age has dropped by a decade. Too often there is a belief that age should dictate when it’s appropriate to have a facelift. Nowadays, we are living longer, healthier, and more active lives. Still, everybody ages differently. Some people visibly age more quickly than others. It’s not so much a question of “What’s the perfect age to have a facelift?”, but rather “What’s the best treatment to achieve the results you want at your age?”.

Still early in the recovery process, I already know her results are going to be amazing! 11 months after Dawn came to see me from
Maryland, she looks more radiant than ever! The last time I saw her and posted her pictures was 5 months postop. She just surprised me with this photo and a text about how happy she is. Just a quick update on one of my beautiful patients from a previous post. At 60 years old, she traveled from California to New Jersey for her facial rejuvenation procedures with me. She is now 4 weeks postoperative in these photos and still has some swelling around her eyes and face.

She was beautiful before and is still beautiful after! Although she has more healing ahead, she already looks amazing—and loves her results!

Results that speak for themselves… Natural, rested, refreshed, ….beautiful before and still beautiful after. At the age of 47 , Brandee came to see me for an elegant “reset”….not to look different. One of the best parts of a deep plane facelift is that you begin aging again from a new starting point. While surgery doesn’t stop the aging process, it does turn the clock back. The results are permanent, but surgery doesn’t stop the aging process. What that means is even in 10-20 years after her deep plane facelift she will still look better than if she never had a facelift. Eventually there will come a point where another facelift will be helpful, but the results will still be there.

While everyone ages at a different rate, most patients find that they reach a point somewhere between 8-15 years where a secondary facelift/ tuck up may be helpful, but they still look better than if they never had a facelift.
